I have just purchased a copy of Flintlocks and Whitetails from Brian Beckum at Beckum Outdoors.

I don't have it yet. It is in the mail.

I plan on a review shortly after I receive it.

Brian has generously donated a copy of this DVD to longrifletrekking.com.

I was trying to think of a way to give it away.

SO

The first person to post a photo of a deer harvested with a LONGRIFLE harvested this year

will receive a copy of the DVD...FLINTLOCKS AND WHITETAILS.

Here is a web page that in my opinion has some very nice stories.

The guys name is Bob Spencer.

He does his stuff period correct.

One of the important things about Bob's method of being period correct is that he

just does it. When you read his stories that he shares you can feel that he understands

the important aspects about hunting and being in the woods. Surounding yourself with nature

at it's most basic level provides your soul with the nourishment it lacks in modern society.

Here is a GREAT recipe for squirrel or other small game.

It tastes different almost every time but it is always great.

You don't really have to be a good cook and it will still turn out good.

Take some squirrels and put them in a slow cooker and just barely cover with water and cook on low heat until falling off the bone. Remove the squirrels and debone. Leave broth in slow cooker. Place meat back in cooker.

Add one package of Lipton chicken noodle soup with the required water on the ...

2,3,4,5,6,7,8,

I guess a lot depends on the accomodations and the size of the property.

I would say somewhere between 4-6 guys. More hands make light camp work.

More stories and celebrations when somebody is successful.

Nothing too taxing. I should be able to start my rifle in a about a month.
