Flintlocks and Whitetails.
I think the first question in a persons mind when they are buying a video is, "Am I going to get good value for my money?"
In the past I have purchased DVD that were of such bad quality that after 15 minutes I just shut it off and put it away,
never to be viewed again. Some of these I gave away, some I wouldn't even give away. I have seen my share of poor video's
Let me start of by stating that Flintlocks and Whitetails is a professional quality video that is good value for the customers money!
I have seen many television productions that are not equal in quality to this DVD. This is not the Drury boys or Bill Jordon and in that regard it is not quite as polished. To off set that, it is truly refreshing to view the entire production without the usual product endorsements.
I viewed it twice because I was intending to do a review. I think I enjoyed it even more the second time. Maybe I will enjoy it even more the third time. It is quite easy to feel as if you are actually sitting beside Brian as he leans back and wispers to the camera it could not be any more real then if you were actually sitting there and Brian leaned back and wispered to you. If you want a southern hunt with flintlock rifles for whitetail deer then you will truly enjoy this video. I am a northern boy and hunt in some pretty cold conditions both fall and winter. Hard woods. cedar swamps. Corn fields, SNOW etc. I still enjoyed the video. Very nice quality rifle and smoothbore. Lots of smoke. Lots of deer hitting the ground. Some good comentary. The music really added to the southern flavor.
I can honestly reccommend this video. For me it is one of my KEEPERS that I will show hunting friends that I am trying to lure into flintlock hunting. I would like to see Brian build a smallbore flintlock and do a squirrel hunting dvd as well to add to this. Of course I am looking forward to any future whitetail flintlock dvd that Brian might be putting out in the future.
